Marg has been a behavior and learning strategist with the Calgary Board of Education. In 1988, she won the Edwin Parr Teaching Award, for being the top first year teacher in the province of Alberta. In 1989, she received the University of Lethbridge Alumni Award, which recognizes a graduate who has distinguished herself in her profession.
Marg has taught students with varying degrees of disabilities and in a variety of school based settings. Her most recent experience has been teaching students with behavioral and emotional difficulties.

motivationShe is an active professional. She has worked on the Special Education Conference Committee, numerous committees with the Alberta Teachers Association and completed her Masters Degree at the University of Calgary, with her thesis being: How to Motivate Students".
Marg has presented at many conferences including: the Special Education Conference, the Special Education Behavior Conference, the Edmonton Teachers Convention, the Lethbridge Teachers Convention, Provincial Consortium Workshops and Teacher Assistant Conferences throughout the province.

Presently, she offers a variety of presentations and workshops on effective ways to deal with students with behavioral, emotional and academic difficulties. Marg also provides consulting services. Whether you are a school division or individual school, Marg can offer very practical, effective strategies for dealing with your more challenging population.
